Dili - JND - Portuguese Minister of Education Nuno Crato is on his visit to Timor Leste in order to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the area of education. “The Minister visited me, he is here to visit the referral schools in Dili and the other districts. He is here to strengthen the relations that we have. We know that our cooperation is going very well and the minister affirmed that he wants to do all that he can for the cooperation to continue well so that we can better upgrade our teaching system in the country,” said the Interim Prime Minister Jose Luis Guterres at the Government palace after meeting with the Portuguese Minister of Education.
Mr. Guterres added that the meeting with him focused more on referral schools that was founded by Portuguese Government in Timor Leste. “We also talk about Portuguese teachers who are teaching here. The Minister reasserted that they will continue helping us in the area of education,” said Mr. Guterres.
During his stay in Timor Leste, Minister Crato will visit Portuguese schools in the District of Baucau, Viqueque, Same and Ermera.
